"Wowzerwall #3".......a "Chandelier" at the Linn-Benton Community College

8 panels comprise this "Wowzerwall Chandelier"

The quote "To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong." was very deeply-engraved (approx. 3/8" deep)"right-reading" on the "1st surface". "Joseph Chilton Pearce" was engraved half as deeply. The graphics above and below the quote were computer-cut out of special "frosted" translucent vinyl that imitates the sandblasting process.

The computer-cut translucent vinyl process was chosen instead of the sandblasting process so as to enable 16 art students at this college to submit designs illustrating the various quotes. By using vinyl instead of sandblasting, adjustments to the designs were expedited to meet the installation deadline.

Above shows the "random" computerized routine of the L.E.D. light controller.

The main portion of this "Wowzerwall Chandelier" is viewed on the second floor, with several of the 8 panels coming "thru the ceiling" of the first floor. The edges of the 1/2" thick clear cast acrylic panels were polished. This "Wowzerwall Chandelier" lends a wonderful custom touch to the college, especially since 16 art students at the Linn-Benton Community College were able to participate in helping to illustrate the 8 different quotes that were engraved on the 8 panels.

Computer-cut translucent vinyl was used for the top and bottom portions.

Special cables allowed these panels to hang, with the wiring concealed.
